The Kakapo, also called owl parrot, is the only flightless parrot on this planet. While other birds travel by flying, this creature often walks or climb from this place to another place. The Kakapo, one among the world's longest-living birds, is critically endangered. There are only 131 living individuals are found as of February 2010.
The Olm is a blind amphibian that can be found in Italy. At the first sight, the olm looks like a small snake with a long white body and four small legs. This creature is known for its adaptation to a life of complete darkness in its underground habitat.
The Ichthyophis Kohtaoensis is a species of rare amphibian in the Ichthyophiidae family. The creature with a long snake-like body can be found in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The Solendon is a small mammal that closely resembles the very large shrews with elongated cartilaginous snouts, long tails and small eyes. Be careful with these Solenodons because they are extremely poisonous. They are the only mammal that can hurt its prey by its venom.
The Bumblebee Bat found in the limestone caves of Thailand and Southeast Burma is claimed as the smallest species of bat. It is also the named as the smallest mammal in the world.
The frilled shark is a strange animal in the world. It has a triangular shaped head with a long gray body. It has been assessed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature as Near Threatened.
