Former Massachusetts Governor and US presidential hopeful Mitt Romney has easily won a victory in the Republican primary election in Florida according to official results. Reportedly, Mr Romney polled 47% in Tuesday's presidential primary election while his rival Newt Gingrich only managed 32% and insisted that he has no intention of dropping out. Rick Santorum and Ron Paul garnered 13 per cent and seven per cent of the vote respectively. Florida's primary is the largest and most diverse of the four states to hold Republican presidential nominating contests so far this year and the men took on Barack Obama in this state. Mitt Romney’s easy win ensures him a solid position in the GOP nomination.
