Clarence House announced on November 16 that Prince William and Kate Middleton were to marry on April 29, 2011 in Westminster Abbey, London. Prince William has recently used the 18-carat sapphire ring of Princess Diana to pop the question to Kate Middleton. The ring is very special to William because it brings great emotional significance for the Prince and his mother. Using the Diana\'s sapphire ring as the engagement ring is the way for William to pay homage to his iconic mother. The Prince believes that his choice will help his beloved mother not miss out the day he engages and spends life with the person he loves.
