Tottenham vs Everton 2-0 Highlights 11th January 2012

Tottenham made a big move to be placed on the third position thanks to a 2-0 victory over Everton at White Hart Lane, London on Wednesday, 11th January 2012. Two goals of the match came from Aaron Lennon and Benoit Assou-Ekotto. With this victory, the Spurs went from championship outsiders to serious pretenders.

First minutes of the Wednesday’s match saw Tottenham Hotspurs facing a scare after Louis Saha had a chance to fire wide, but the Frenchman couldn’t direct his shot into the goal. Tottenham then quickly took control the game and Aaron Lennon opened the first goal at 35′ for the club. The Spurs continued creating a plenty of chances in front of Everton’s goal. As the result, Benoit Assou-Ekotto brought the second goal to the hosts at 63’. The football match of Tottenham vs Everton on Wednesday finally ended with the score 2-0.

Before the English Premier League game on Wednesday, the Toffees wasn’t thought to be a good team. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur was said to have their best season in recent history. The Spur was also promised to draw level on points with Manchester United.

During their last five EPL matches at White Hart Lane stadium, the visitors have won three. Meanwhile, Tottenham won all of their last five games in the competition. In comparison between the two teams, the Spurs have gained 59 wins while the Toffees won 53 games. The visitors also won over Spurs in the league at Goodison Park last season.

Tottenham is currently stayed on the third place of the Premier League table after Manchester City and Manchester United. Winning 14 of their 20 EPL games from then on and sitting level on points with MU, the north London club won will care little as they build their title challenge.

During the match between the two sides on January 11, the Spurs unsurprisingly defeated the Toffees. The club was promised to score at least three goals over the Toffees, but the game ended and the Spurs won with the score 2-0. Anyway, they won.
