World’s Most Creative Countries 2011

A study carried out by the Martin Prosperity Institute has picked out the list of top five creative countries in the world among 82 countries. Needless to say, creativity is a driving force in the economy. Otherwise, other factors including economic progress, human development, and happiness are proved to be highly associated with creativity. The result (Global Creativity Index) is based on different criteria such as technology rank, talent and tolerance. The tolerant society has ability to attract talented people who contribute to innovation of economy and technology.Reportedly, most creative countries in the world 2011 are from developed region especiallt Scandinavia.

SWEDEN

Technology Rank: 5

Talent Rank: 2

Tolerance Rank: 7

Global Creativity Index: 0.923

The country of northern Europe is challenging the economic power of the United States to appear on the top of this list. Accoding to “Rise of the Creative Class” author Richard Florida, this year’s winner is leading the traditionally powerful European economies of France and Germany. The country also shows off “extraordinary growth” in its creative capacity.

Sweden comes at the top position in this list

The U.S is losing the ground to the above creative crescent of northern European countries. Some sources said “The United States may well be losing its long-established edge in attracting the brightest and best talent from around the world”

Global Creativity Index: 0.894

Finland, who has reputation for the best education system in the world, finishes first in both technology and talent rankings

Denmark, who has high marks in talent and technology, is the first of three Scandinavian countries featuring on the list
