On the other side, Stoke also mobilized a team of powerful players for the matches, including Wilkinson, Pennant, Jones, Whitehead and Palacios and so on.
Manchester United and Stoke City had unpredictable strength and will in the first quarter of the match. However, a shot at the 20th minute began bringing fears to goalkeepers. Man Utd dominated over Stoke during the rest of the game as they almost moved around the Stoke penalty area.
The game finally got its first goal at the last eight minutes of the first half as Berbatov and Scholes of MU joined in the Stoke City penalty area to create a chance for Hernandez scored it. Manchester United continued to control the game and make their second goal from another penalty during the second half by Berbatov.
